British hiker Jay Slater remains missing in the Spanish Pyrenees after last contacting a friend on Sunday. The 19-year-old told his friend he was "in the middle of the mountains" in his final call.
Authorities are continuing the search, now focusing on a wider area after initial efforts were hampered by difficult terrain. An inquest revealed Slater consumed alcohol and drugs before embarking on a long walk.
A witness stated Slater did not steal a watch the night he disappeared. A drug dealer has also shared what he believes were Slater's last words. The inquest into his disappearance has resumed, seeking to locate additional witnesses.
